Making bread is like building momentum. To achieve the right outcome you need the right ingredients and, they need to be put together in the right way.
Momentum needs three fundamental ingredients. Focus, energy and structure.
Without these you can find yourself working hard, but lacking traction.
This loaf of bread, made yesterday, lacked a vital ingredient. You can probably guess what it was.
If your business critical change feels a bit 'flat' because it is lacking momentum, the chances are it is missing one of the three ingredients above.
Step back and have a look.
Do you have the focus that's needed? Do you have enough energy behind it? Is there enough structure to reduce the risk and make uncertainty more predictable for your people?
If the answer is no to any of these questions, they are the three areas to start.
