How would you explain this to a six year old?

⇨ A little while ago a client complained to me that each time they tried to understand a complex problem within the team, the technical experts would respond “It’s too complicated to explain and would take too long”

It reminded me of the popular Einstein quote “If you can’t explain it to a six year old, you don’t understand it well enough yourself”.

Asking this question will help create a shared ‘big picture’ from which to have a focused discussion and ask focused questions. Without it, everyone starts at a different level of understanding which pretty quickly leads to frustration for all involved.
