I was cooking the other day and needed an ingredient that I rarely use. So, I went to my cupboard and started digging in the back of the shelves to see if I could find what I needed. During this adventure, I noticed that I had an excess supply of mustard.
Sometimes, we collect things not because we need them but because we think we might need them at some point. It's good to be prepared but the risk is that we end up being prepared for (and worrying about) a problem that never comes.
So I'm curious, what's your mustard?
What are you holding on to just in case something happens?
How long have you been holding on to it?
And could you be doing something different that would create more value for your customers, your stakeholders and for you?
