Bring the situation, not the solution
I work with senior leaders and organisations when something important needs to move, but the answer, alignment or path forward is unclear.
You do not need to arrive with a fully defined problem. Often, the first step is understanding what is really happening, why it matters and what is blocking progress.
The work may begin one-to-one with a CEO or senior executive, with an executive or leadership team, or around a broader organisational challenge. Where sustained internal leadership is needed, I can also step in as an interim executive.
When something important needs to move
Leaders usually come to me because something significant is not moving as it should.

The presenting issue may be strategy, alignment, ownership, communication or delivery. The real challenge is often more complex.
A consequential decision is difficult to resolve
The stakes are high, the information is incomplete or different people are answering different versions of the question.
A complex change lacks ownership
The work is being carried by one executive, a program team or a small group of advocates rather than by the leaders who need to make it happen.
Leaders agree on the ambition, but not the path
There is broad agreement about what matters, but different interpretations of the situation, priorities or choices are preventing coordinated movement.
Strategic intent is not becoming action
The direction may exist, but priorities are unclear, activity is fragmented or people cannot connect their work to the outcome.
A leader is carrying too much of the complexity alone
The role, decision or organisational challenge is difficult to think through without an experienced and independent partner.
The expertise is there, but it is not being fully brought to bear
Your leaders are experienced but they hold different parts of the picture. The challenge is surfacing that intelligence, connecting it and applying it to the right problem.

How I help the work move
My role is not to arrive with a prefabricated answer.

I help leaders understand the situation more clearly, help them shape the best way forward thereby creating the alignment and ownership required to carry it through.

Bring the real issue into focus
I help leaders look beyond the presenting problem, question the assumptions shaping it and understand what is genuinely preventing movement.

Shape clearer direction
I bring customer realities, organisational knowledge and competing perspectives together to clarify what matters, the choices involved and where the organisation needs to focus.

Create alignment and ownership
I engage the people who need to shape, lead and carry the work, building shared understanding and genuine ownership rather than manufacturing compliance later.

A proven approach grounded in reality, not theory
I help turn shared understanding into priorities, practical action and stronger ways of working that people can carry forward. I bring a proven method, 30 years of experience and the ability to teach leaders how to think more adaptively in real time, particularly when pressure and complexity would otherwise narrow their judgement.

Getting started
An engagement may begin with one senior leader, an executive or leadership team, a broader organisational challenge or a need for embedded executive leadership.
These are starting points, not sealed categories. A one-to-one advisory relationship may later extend into work with the executive team or broader organisation as the situation develops.

How the work unfolds

The work is shaped around the situation rather than forced into a predetermined program.

Start with the real situation

I usually begin by working closely with the CEO, executive or senior sponsor to understand what is happening, what is at stake and who needs to be involved.

Work on the live challenge

The real decision, strategy, relationship or organisational issue becomes the focus. The right people are brought together to make sense of it and create meaningful progress.

Build progress and capability together

Much of the value is created between the visible sessions. I listen, synthesise different perspectives, surface hidden tensions and connections, sharpen the framing and design the next move.

The engagement adapts as the organisation learns. The work may deepen or move across different parts of the organisation as the situation becomes clearer.
For leaders who need to create shared direction and movement together.
I work with executive and leadership teams on real strategic and organisational challenges.

The work may involve shaping direction, resolving competing interpretations, strengthening executive ownership or translating ambition into coordinated action.

This is not team development detached from the work. The live challenge becomes the vehicle through which the team develops stronger judgement, alignment and ways of working.
Not sure where to start?
You do not need to choose the right program or engagement model before getting in touch.

Bring the situation. Together, we can work out what kind of support would create the most value, whether that is one-to-one advisory with a CEO or senior executive, work with an executive team, a broader organisational engagement or an interim executive mandate.
