Have you ever had this experience?
You’re facing a problem and you have so many possible solutions that you don’t know which one to choose? When we know a lot about a topic or an area in which we find ourselves facing a problem, our depth of knowledge can sometimes trip us up.
As the saying goes, “Ignorance is bliss”.
That’s because, if we don’t know much about a topic, we’re able to keep our thinking simple. However, when we have a lot of experience in the area in which we’re facing a problem, choosing can become more complicated.
In this episode of Curly, Calm and Curious I walk through my own example as I’ve grappled with writing my second book. In the video, I share three ways to work through a problem when we’re lost in our own expertise. I also explore some practical ways to build a sense of control, when you’re feeling overwhelmed by information and choices.
