Elizabeth SA Reflections
As a team here at Elizabeth we have started watching the videos in our meetings to discuss our thoughts, feelings, and ideas surrounding the weekly videos. It has been good for all of us to get an insight into how each of our mind’s process and interpret things when viewing the same situations/circumstances. Specifically, regarding how each of us instinctively reacts to disruption, and how we can readjust and channel those feelings into something positive, or even just stop and assess why we respond the way we do.
Resonating – How much disruption we see every day and how we let this impact us. For example, as consultants we can sometimes feel stressed and overloaded, which leads to ineffectiveness.
We often get caught so it’s important to stop and breathe for just a second to ground ourselves and reset.
In one discussion we had, we initially described ourselves as avoiders of disruption because we like to keep things even and steady . However, after discussing the video we realised we are not avoiders at all as we always lean into whatever the disruption is and get stuff done.
We are now also working through the daily cards. Each morning we select a card and share with the team how we feel about the task . We keep the card close by as a reminder of our task at hand . At the end of they we reflect back on the day together and discuss how we feel , what worked and perhaps what we could have done differently . This helps us to maintain focus on what is truly important

@Gillian Kirby - I sounds like you and the team are working through this strategically. Isn't it interesting how we often take our thinking for granted and yet, once you start thinking about it and even better, talking about it - there is so much to discover. It sounds like you are getting positive traction and I can't wait to hear which strategies work best for you and the team. It's a credit to you all.
